I was gifted the 2018-2019 Erin Condren LifePlanner for my honest review. As always, onions are my own.
Guess what time it is? It’s time for the latest and greatest Erin Condren Life Planner!
I really look forward to receiving their planners each year and the designs they come up with are always so cute!
Now let’s get started!
The Design
So it looks like they’ve kept the options to choose from a colorful or neutral theme. The one that I have is the colorful theme.
You can choose between their coiled planner with an interchangeable cover or a hardbound. I love the interchangeable covers because you can swap them out throughout the year.
The cover that you see in my photos is Vintage Floral and I also really think the Oh Joy! Floral Festival Metallic cover is super cute!
Last year I had the rose gold coil, this year my planner is in platinum which matches really well with all of their covers. You can also choose gold or black.
The Layout
There are three layouts: vertical, horizontal and hourly. The one I was sent is vertical. To see an example of the horizontal layout it’s in last year’s post here.
Out of all the years I’ve owned these planners, I can tell you they have very durable pages, and made with high quality paper. Bleed through is rarely an issue for me, especially when I use their Dual Tip Markers. I’ve also used regular pens as well and did not have a problem.
One other thing to point out since I’m on the topic of markers. If you order the coiled planners, the interior of the interchangeable covers are dry erase so DO NOT use regular pens (including the dual-tip markers) or any permanent type of marker because it will not erase. I learned that the hard way a long time ago! Make sure you only use wet erase markers which are also sold on Erin Condren’s website.
And don’t use highlighters on the cover either because that will not wipe off.
Another feature I love about the Erin Condren LifePlanner is the built-in Keep it Together Folder. I use it to store important documents, party invitations and business cards I receive from clients.
The Perpetual Calendar has also made a return which is included in the planner.
If you don’t know what a perpetual calendar is, it has all the months of the year and dates where you would fill in important events to remember like birthdays and anniversaries. So if you have a hard time remembering a friend’s birthday, it’s a great reference tool!
The Goodies
Erin Condren accessories speak to me! They are always practical but super cute and colorful. I feel like the design team really is on point with providing what customers love and need in a product.
I mean, hello, an adhesive pen holder to attach to your planner or notebook? Yes please! Sometimes I’d hang a pen on the front cover but it always falls off.
Now that I have a pen holder, I can slide my pen into it and be on my way!
Date dots are a cool way to dress up the dates in your planner. I love that they are offering metallics. I seriously love metallic, especially if it comes in rose gold which the date dots do and in silver too.
Accessorize and plan with the Sticky Notepad, decorate your planner or notebook with Paper Tape and glam it up with Metallic Date Dots.
What do you think about the Woven Wonder pattern? I absolutely love using the mini snap-in bookmarks! I use them in my planner to remember important pages and in my Erin Condren coiled notebooks.
The design you see in this photo is Woven Wonder from their metallics bookmark collection. Also shown in the newest snap-in to-do list dashboard below.
This snap-in dashboard is really good for keeping track of things that need to get done. It’s also versatile for keeping track of daily goals like staying hydrated or exercise. I’m trying really hard to get in 15 minute walk breaks at work twice a day.
Travel Friendly
With this Travel Journal from their Petite Planner collection, the world is your oyster! I have no idea where we are headed next but will definitely use this for the trip.
If you love to plan and document your trips, you should really get this journal! Have you ever researched places to eat and things to see and do on a trip but didn’t write everything down and can’t remember what they were when you got to your destination? You can keep those things organized in this one little book. It’s also small enough to take along in your bag while out sightseeing.
Check out this video for more cool things you can do with the Petite Planner Travel Journal.
Eco Friendly
Another travel friendly product is their eco-friendly reusable bag (also in the new Woven Wonder pattern.) You can use it for just about anything.
I always use tote bags to carry groceries or a smaller bag for my lunch at work. But none of them come close to what this one can do!
You can literally fold it and tie it together with the attached band, then store it in your bag, desk or kitchen drawer – even your glove compartment! I wish I had like 20 of these. My tote bags usually take up space in the trunk or backseat of our car, so foldable bags would save loads of space.
I’m not sure what material it’s made of but I can tell you it is very lightweight, yet durable feeling.
Speaking of reusable! Check out this very versatile gift bag. It’s not made of paper like most gift bags. This Mini Jute Tote is made of natural organic fiber. Your gift will be in a bag that is not only eco-friendly, but the person you are giving it to can reuse it as a shopping bag or whatever may be.
Save the planet while giving two gifts in one. Sounds good to me!
