Exploring Ireland’s Coast: The Wild Atlantic Way

Who knew that I would be a mother with a kid who loves to explore the world at such a young age!

Tristan was seriously a big team player on our Ireland trip. Despite early mornings, tired legs from walking, and occasional motion sickness on Ireland’s bumpy coastal and mountain roads – he not once complained!

Here is a video we put together from our day trip driving along parts of the Wild Atlantic Way, with scenic stops exploring the Cliffs of Moher, The Burren, Doolin, Galway and other iconic villages along the way.

Magical St. Augustine, Florida

St. Augustine was written on my bucket list of places to visit and at the end of 2017, we finally went there! While we were only there for a few days, we could’ve easily stayed longer than a week. There is so much to see and do in Saint Augustine but if you’re only there for a short time, we’ve put together this city guide for 72 hours (or less) in Saint Augustine, Florida which you can read on our blog, here.

Castillo de San Marcos tower

Castillo de San Marcos

About Castillo de San Marcos

On our recent visit to Saint Augustine, Florida we spent a few hours exploring its Spaniard built fort: Castillo de San Marcos. It’s a 17th century fort and the oldest fort in the United States. It has endured many battles, raids, wars and sieges, including a 2 month siege when British forces arrived in November 1702 to take over which at that time, Spanish territory.

The 21 acre fort was built using a stone called “coquina” found only in the Saint Augustine area which is actually made from the shells of dead shellfish that bonded together. The grass that surrounds the fort is actually a dry moat which once had water to aid in keeping enemies out.

There are cannon fire demonstrations held daily, you don’t want to miss that. Just remember to plug your ears and enjoy the show!

We hope this video will inspire you to visit Saint Augustine, thank you for watching and share it with your friends!

Basketball fun outdoors

Basketball Set by Step2: Shootin’ Hoops Pro

Basketball is becoming one of Tristan’s favorite activities to do at home along with playing outdoors.

This past week during all of the pre-Black Friday sales, we picked up a Step2 Shootin’ Hoops Pro Basketball Set from Kohl’s. This is a review and tutorial of how we put it all together – assembly was pretty easy.

The entire family had so much fun playing with it!

Freeze frame Canon 80D

Backyard Fun With Canon 80D

We recently purchased a Canon 80D and have put it to the test along with trying out some color grading in post production. Some of the footage was shot in 24fps and 60fps – all done in a user modified Neutral profile setting. We used their 18-135mm STM. You’ll see more footage shot with it on our upcoming trips to The Bahamas and Florida.

We are going on a cruise with Carnival and not only that, it will be the first time we’ve ever been on a cruise. It will also be the first time Tristan has ever left the country!

Let us know what you think! 🙂

LEGO: LIGHTNING MCQUEEN SPEED LAUNCHER [VIDEO]

We usually do low key things at home to celebrate Father’s Day. Tristan and Meshach grilled almost all of our meals, watched Netflix and played with LEGO Juniors Lightning McQueen Speed Launcher set from Disney Pixar Cars 3.

The LEGO Juniors Lightning McQueen Speed Launcher was given to us for review. As always, opinions are our own.
