We’ve been experiencing a strange weather trend here in North Carolina over the last couple of weeks. It’s supposed to be winter but we’ve had some days where it’s cold then the next day it feels like spring. It’s really confusing my skin!
I’ve partnered again with my favorite beauty company, Honest Beauty to share with you some products that I’ve been using this winter to keep my dry skin tame.
Everything Organic Facial Oil
This USDA certified organic facial oil is everything you need for winter! It’s rich in antioxidants and is made with pure fruit and seed oils that provide the fatty acids and vitamins your skin needs. It’s become part of my morning routine for my face. You only need to use one drop per use (unless you’d like to apply more but this is how I use it.) Squeeze one drop of this heavenly scented, golden elixir into the palm of your hand. Next, warm the oil in the palms of your hands and lightly press it into your face and neck. It is not greasy and it has a very subtle floral-like scent.
I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks now and I have noticed that my skin has a lot more glow and life to it which is especially useful when you’re getting less than 5 hours of sleep at night because your toddler wants to be a night owl (but that’s a whole other post!) I’d also like to point out that I love the cute rose gold bottle it comes in!
Everything Primer
I used to be a skeptic in the past about using primer until I started using Honest Beauty’s Everything Primer and it makes a world of a difference for your make up! I love that it has a tinted but subtle glow and sometimes I’ll just wear that on my face if I don’t feel like wearing a full face of makeup.
You may not have to worry about sweating off your make up in the winter months, but it’s still good to use as a base for even coverage of your foundation and will help eliminate reapplication throughout the day.
Everything Cream Foundation
I love using their Everything Cream Foundation. I love how it blends well with my skin tone because I enjoy a more natural look. It’s infused with jojoba oil, chamomile, calendula and Vitamin E to keep your skin nourished. It comes in 8 shades and the one I use is the color Java.
Cream foundation is also a good option for winter weather when you have dry skin. It makes your face look smoother and this particular foundation literally goes on smooth like soft butter!
Truly Kissable Lip Kit
The Truly Kissable Lip Kit has everything you need to touch up your lips and skin on the go. It includes the redness reducing, Magic Balm that soothes dry skin irritations. There is also Truly Kissable Lip Crayon in Demi-Matte Honey Kiss (a lovely nude color) and Truly Kissable Lip Crayon in Sheer Raspberry Kiss which is a fuchsia color (this is my favorite!)
Refreshingly Clean Gel Cleanser
I love this cleanser! I break out easily if I use certain cleansers but so far I haven’t had any issues with their Refreshingly Clean Gel Cleanser. At the end of the day after removing my makeup I like to finish it off with this super fun, foamy wash and it smells really good too!
Even Brighter Everyday Moisturizer
If I know the following day is going to be really cold, I prepare for it the night before with Even Brighter Everyday Moisturizer. After washing my face, I pat dry and then apply a small amount of this moisturizer so it can hydrate my skin while I’m sleeping. You can also use this during the day if needed.
Beyond Protected Daily Beauty Fluid
I’d also like to point out the importance of wearing sunscreen even in winter. The UV rays are still there. I apply a small amount of Honest Beauty’s Beyond Protected Daily Beauty Fluid to my face before applying my makeup. It’s very light and it has SPF 30 to keep your face protected from harsh UV rays.
Honest Beauty is a line of skincare products and makeup founded by The Honest Company’s Jessica Alba. The products feature natural ingredients that are safe and effective for everyday use. I really enjoy using Honest Beauty products and I’m not saying that because I was given the mentioned products above for a review. I honestly love it and have personally recommended it to my friends and family. Have you tried it yet?
Although this post was kindly sponsored by Honest Beauty, my opinions are always my own.
