We were given complimentary passes for the attractions and activities mentioned in this post.
This past December was our very first visit to Myrtle Beach in winter. We’ve always gone during the spring and summer seasons, so our stay was a little different this time around.
If you’re planning a winter getaway to Myrtle Beach and looking for fun, indoor activities and attractions, then bookmark this post!
Rockin’ Jump Myrtle Beach Trampoline Park
One thing about kids, they are full of energy. So a great way to let that energy out is a trip to Rockin’ Jump. It’s an indoor, trampoline park with many options to jump the sillys out!
Meshach and Tristan gave it a try and let’s just say, I was very entertained to see Meshach fall flat on his face in the foam pits.
Tristan purposely kept jumping into the pits, he thought it was the coolest thing in the world. Maybe we need to make one at home?
Some of their favorites at the park were the Dodgeball Arena, Slam Dunk Zone, and Wipe Out. Tristan was also very eager to display his ninja moves at the Ninja Course.
Rockin’ Jump is also a great place for birthday parties and group visits. And if you’re a super fan for jumping, then consider signing up for their monthly membership (great option if you’re local.)
Ripley’s Aquarium of Myrtle Beach
A trip to Myrtle Beach is not complete without a visit to one of Ripley’s main attractions: Ripley’s Aquarium. Our absolutely favorite thing to do at their aquarium is to glide along their 340-foot glide path inside their Dangerous Reef exhibit.
It feels like you’re under the sea and it never gets dull witnessing sharks swimming gracefully over your head!
We recommend spending at least a couple of hours at Ripley’s Aquarium. There are so many beautiful ocean creatures to see, like the “Upside-Down” jellyfish (Cassiopea) tank we came across – (not the ones in the video above.) They are jellyfish who live upside down, which we had never heard about until our visit. So you just never know what may surprise you!
Also, don’t miss their daily shows, depending on the season you might even catch a glimpse of a mermaid or two.
Pirates Voyage Dinner Show
Experience the thrill of a pirate’s life at Myrtle Beach’s Pirates Voyage Dinner Show.
The show centers around Blackbeard and Calico Jack leading the Crimson and Sapphire crews on an adventure in search for lost treasure. All of this takes place on (and over) a 15 foot deep indoor lagoon!
Come to the show hungry, you will get a feast that is fit for a hungry pirate. Also, please get there at least an hour early, it tends to get crowded. You also don’t want to miss the fun pirates pre-show!
Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament
This experience will transport you to Medieval Spain. You will feel like a guest of honor in King Don Carlos’ court no matter where you are seated. Dinner is provided featuring garlic bread and soup for starters, roasted chicken, sweet buttered corn, herb-basted potatoes, the pastry of the Castle, coffee and two rounds of select beverages.
Each section is assigned a knight to cheer on during the electrifying tournament. Will your knight win?
Hollywood Wax Museum
If you see a celebrity in a wax museum, does it still count as seeing one in person? Just asking for a friend!
Located in the popular Broadway at the Beach, the two-story Hollywood Wax Museum is filled with celebrity wax figures and tons of chances for a photo op with your favorite celebrity, even if they’re just made of wax!
SkyWheel Myrtle Beach
The SkyWheel in winter, you might be asking? YES! The Sky Wheel takes you 200 feet above sea level for great views of Myrtle Beach below.
The gondolas are also climate controlled and fully enclosed, so even if it’s a bit chilly outside, you will feel nice and cozy in your gondola so you can focus on taking in the view.
