We were hosted by Pirates Voyage Dinner Show, as always opinions are our own.
I have a confession to make. I’ve always secretly wanted to be a pirate, at least for a day. I think I blame the Pirates of the Caribbean series for that!
Not too long ago, we had the opportunity to experience the thrill of a pirate’s life at Myrtle Beach’s Pirates Voyage Dinner Show. We were in for a treat!
An Explosive Show
I seriously love how this show incorporates the Carolinas’ local pirate history!
“Only the devil and I know the whereabouts of my treasure, and the one of us who lives the longest shall take it all!” – Blackbeard
Captain Blackbeard (Edward Teach) is the most feared pirate of all time. He has strong ties to the Carolina coast with his famous ship, Queen Anne’s Revenge.
The dinner show centers around Blackbeard and Calico Jack leading the Crimson and Sapphire crews on an adventure in search for lost treasure. And get this: It all takes place on (and over) a 15 foot deep indoor lagoon!
There is also a pirate ship where many of the epic scenes take place in the show.
As mentioned before, the audience is split into two colors; Crimson and Sapphire. Your crew color is assigned based on the side of the arena you booked your seats.
We were on the sapphire side (but oddly enough wore red that night haha), so we cheered on the sapphire crew during the show. It felt great to cheer on and interact with our crew and fellow audience members throughout the show. We all felt like we were part of a team!
Our absolute favorite part of the show (especially Tristan’s) is when Davy Jones made an appearance. He was big and creepy! I don’t want to give too much away, but just know he makes a very convincing entrance.
You have got to see this show in person, the costumes and special effects are spectacular!
For The Hungry Pirate
You’ll get a four course meal fit for a hungry pirate. Our feast started with a delicious creamy vegetable soup and cheese biscuit. For the main course, half of a roasted chicken, a helping of BBQ pork, corn on the cob and baked potato.
For dessert it was a flaky and flavorful apple pie turnover with a buttery crisp to die for! Paired with unlimited refills of coffee, tea or soda.
If you are a vegetarian they do offer vegetarian friendly meals.
Things to Know
Please get to the venue early! At least an hour to an hour and half early. It gets very crowded, plus you do not want to miss out on the pre-show held in Pirates Village.
Also, we were told photography is allowed but you are not allowed to do filming of any kind. That means no videos on your Insta Stories or anywhere on social media nor could you film with your DSLRs, etc.
The dinner and show is held daily, booking seats in advance is recommended. It’s a very popular show in Myrtle Beach and we found out some people around us booked months in advance to get the seats they wanted.
Pirates Voyage is located at 8907 North Kings Hwy, just minutes away from North Myrtle Beach. Tickets can be purchased online. For more information, visit their website.
