Surf City is a beach town located on Topsail Island in North Carolina. It’s a barrier island that stretches for 26 miles. It also has two other towns: Topsail Beach and North Topsail Beach, but we frequently visit Surf City when taking a day trip to the island.
We strongly suggest arriving very early in the morning to see the sunrise. It’s always the most beautiful sunrise we’ve ever seen in North Carolina (in our opinion.) Plus it’s very quiet in the mornings to where you almost have the beach to yourself before the crowd arrives later.
